Mechanical and electrical are both in-house. On heat pump retrofit the binding constraint is almost always electrical capacity rather than the mechanical solution, and splitting the two disciplines across firms is where most programme risk enters a job. The case studies show the level of detail we work to.

Fast on fees
Send a scope and you will normally have a fixed-fee proposal the same or next working day, with clear exclusions and a stated number of revision rounds. Every project is different, so we price each one properly rather than from a rate sheet.
Direct contact
You deal with the engineer doing the work, not an account manager. Two directors, both hands-on, both reachable.
Your relationships stay yours
Where a client relationship is yours, we work behind it. That has been the arrangement on long-running relationships since 2023.

We would rather you knew this from our website than found it at PQQ stage. If a job needs a certification we do not hold, tell us and we will say straight away whether it is worth either of us proceeding.

Can you work under our appointment?
Yes. We are regularly engaged as part of a wider design team, working to your document numbering and issue procedures, and attending design team meetings alongside you. Where a client relationship is yours, it stays yours.
Can you deliver output under our branding?
Where a project needs it, yes. Some clients prefer a single consultant of record with specialist input behind it, and we are comfortable working that way.
What do you need to get started?
The building, the RIBA stage you want covered, the programme date, and twelve months of metered gas and electricity if it is a decarbonisation job. If a survey is needed we will say so and price it separately.
Can you work to our document control and BIM standards?
Yes. We work to BS 1192-style numbering as standard — our own reference format is ProjectNo-JE-XX-ZZ-Type-Discipline-Number — and adopt client numbering where required. Design checking and verification follows a documented procedure with risk-based check and approval.
What insurance do you carry?
Professional indemnity, public liability and employers' liability. Certificates and current cover levels are issued on request along with our standard terms of appointment. If a client's procurement requires a specific PI level, tell us early — it is usually arrangeable.
Are you ISO certified?
ISO 9001:2015 certification is in progress with BSI. Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits are complete and we are working through the closing actions. We are not yet certified and we will not claim otherwise. Our quality management system, design checking procedure, external provider register, H&S policy and CSR and social value strategy are documented and available for a PQQ pack.
How do you price?
Every project is different, so every fee is. We build them bottom-up from the resource a defined scope actually needs, adjusted for complexity, retrofit risk, stakeholder burden and programme. Send us a scope and you will normally have a fixed-fee proposal, with clear exclusions, the same or next working day.
How quickly can you respond?
Usually same or next working day on a fee proposal. We would rather tell you quickly that a programme is not achievable than hold up your bid.
